Since its incorporation in 1986, the company has grown from a regional organization, to a multi-faceted, national presence in the industry with headquarters in New York and regional offices in Miami, Washington DC, and Los Angeles.

Daniel Lambraia joined Plaza Construction after earning his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Binghamton University. During his time at Binghamton, he completed a number of design projects, and won the Freshman Engineering Project Design Exposition, awarded to him and his team for engineering design and creativity of their project.

Previously, Lambraia worked at a carpentry firm, a property management and maintenance business, and an electrical contracting company during the summer and winter months between college semesters. He soon discovered that working in the construction industry gave him the opportunity to use his engineering background to produce something both tangible and fulfilling.

Through his new blog, Daniel Lambraia hopes to show others that construction and development is more than just building tall structures and using heavy machinery. Not only is construction a running force within the economy, Daniel knows the importance of updating and growing our cities and updating our infrastructure. Through his experiences with Plaza Construction, Daniel has been exposed to a wide spectrum of focuses throughout the industry, giving him a detailed yet varied understanding of how all of the moving parts in development work together to create something bigger.

Being environmentally conscious, Daniel Lambraia is interested in sustainable construction practices, and becoming LEED accredited. Although both structural and financial incentives have helped promote sustainable building practices, he hopes that time will continue to show an upwards trend in the industry.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Daniel Lambraia is a dedicated philanthropist who cares about giving back to his community. Lambraia enjoys charity work for the chance it gives him to take a step back from his own reality and appreciate his potential to effect change. While he supports a number of causes, Daniel is most passionate about those related to the environment as well as organizations that focus on aiding children in disadvantaged circumstances.

Over the course of the past year, Daniel Lambraia worked with the Jewish Board of Family and Children & Services Jobs (JBFCS), forming a company team for their annual charity bike ride. The ride raised money for a boys’ foster home on St. Marx Place. He also worked with Angela Cares, a community benefit program assisting senior citizens to young children. This work included volunteering to chaperone on a fishing trip and assisting with the Thanksgiving food drive.
